Emma Aragón Bio
Born in Ensenada, Mexico, Emma was drawing with aptitude from an early age, creating recognizable portraits of classmates by age 11. In her teens she began working with oil paints, taking classes in a studio. In keeping with this artistic inclination she chose to study Architecture at the Monterrey Institute of Technology, following this up with a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning at the U of T.
While pursuing a career in Urban Design and raising four children Emma still found time to paint and draw as a hobby. Seven years ago she decided to return to painting seriously, becoming a member of Art Gala Forum and exhibiting at various venues. She has continued to upgrade her skills with courses in painting.
Her recent work expresses a new understanding of value and color balance, to capture real and imagined images through free brushstrokes.
