Nella, a resident of Toronto for the past 35 years, was born in Mexico City where she studied at Anauhac University. Nella is a member of the Art Gala Forum and has painted most of her life, crediting both her parents for her early love of art and her inspiration to pursue her artistic and creative passions.

 

Abstract and figural expressionism provides for Nella’s artistic expressions which is presented in simplified and two-dimensional natural forms and are inspired by hieroglyphs and fossils.

 

Nella’s paintings use forms and colours which capture a specific moment in her life. She expresses this through transformative spiritual experiences and emotions in life’s universal being. Her creative spirit and love of colours is articulated in her paintings as she continues to be influenced by her greatest inspirations: life, family and her cultural heritage!
